Armanc Yıldız

I am a political anthropologist working on race, religion, science, sexuality, and value in Europe.

In my work, I strive towards decolonizing Europe by ethnographically demonstrating how the promise of Europe does not hold true for many of its residents.

Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, within the International Research Training Group, Transformative Religion. I completed my Ph.D. at the Department of Anthropology at Harvard University, with a secondary degree in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality.

My research has been supported by the Wenner-Gren Foundation, German Research Foundation (DFG), Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, Krupp Foundation, Open Gate Foundation, Cora Du Bois Foundation, Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies, and the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs.
